A: Yes, a $100 deposit is required to book your appointment. The deposit must be through Zelle or Venmo. Please note the deposit is non-refundable.

✦ Q: How can I prepare for my tattoo appointment?
A: For at least one week BEFORE your appointment, make sure to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest. Exfoliate the area to remove dead skin. Keep the area moisturized with lotion. Avoid alcohol and drugs.

Aftercare

You just got a new tattoo! Now what?
It is important to follow aftercare instructions to ensure your tattoo heals well.
If you receive second skin during your appointment, please leave it on no longer than 24 hours. If the second skin causes redness, irritation, peels and exposes the tattoo, or gets water trapped inside, please remove it immediately. To remove second skin, under warm running water, gently stretch the bandage by holding two opposite corners and stretching them away from each other. Do this very slowly and gently, do not rip the bandage off.If you did NOT receive second skin, please only leave the saran wrap on for a maximum of 2 hours.Once the second skin or saran wrap is removed, you will begin a regimen that should be followed for a minimum of 2 weeks:2 to 3 times a day, gently wash your tattoo with a fragrance free soap. I like Dr. Bronner's Baby unscented castille soap, or unscented Dial antibacterial soap. Use your hand only, do NOT use a washcloth or loofa. After washing your tattoo, either pat it dry with a clean paper towel or let it air dry. Leave it dry for 10 minutes.Once your tattoo is dry, moisturize it with a very small amount of lotion. I recommend Aquaphor for the first few days, and then an unscented, light lotion such as Vanicream or Cetaphil. The tattoo should not be shiny. If it is shiny, you moisturized too much. Gently pat off the excess with a clean paper towel.Repeat this process 2 to 3 times a day for 2 weeks.✦ It is important to avoid irritating your tattoo during the healing period. Avoid rigorous exercise, sunlight, and fragranced products. Do not use sunscreen. Use clean clothes and bedding, and avoid getting pet hair in the tattoo. After a few days to 1 week, your tattoo will begin to peel. This is normal! Do NOT pick at or scratch your tattoo, no matter how itchy it is. This will cause ink loss! After 2 weeks, you may stop this process if you feel it is healed. However, it is still healing underneath the top layers. Your tattoo may look cloudy or waxy, and this is a normal part of the healing process! After 6 weeks, your tattoo should be fully healed. You may now wear sunscreen to protect your tattoo. Wearing sunscreen every single day will make your tattoo last much longer.
At this point, you may decide you need a touch up.
Please reach out if you believe you need a touch up!
